- Tips and tricks: the quieter entrance, the best hour, the free viewpoint, gathered from forums and locals.

What applies everywhere
The sight pages hold what is local. The guides hold the rest: how to plan a visit, which tickets actually skip lines, whether city passes pay off, and the scams that follow tourists everywhere.
- How to plan a visit to a famous sightThe famous sights now run on timed, named tickets that sell out, and most of the ways a visit goes wrong happen weeks before you arrive. Here is how to book at the right moment, on the right site, and turn up with the right things.
- Skip-the-line tickets, explainedMost famous sights have three queues, and no ticket skips all of them. After reading this you will know which line your ticket saves you, when a skip-the-line label is worth paying for, and when it is the official ticket at a higher price.
- Official tickets vs resellers: how to tell them apartThe top search result for a famous sight is often not the sight's own ticket shop. This guide shows you how to find the real one in a minute, when paying a reseller makes sense, and what to do if you already paid the wrong site.
- Are city passes worth it?A city pass saves money only if you would have paid full price for enough of what it covers, in the days it is valid. This guide shows you how to do that sum in five minutes, and where the passes for Paris, Rome, London and Jordan stand in October 2026.

Questions people ask
What is Sightsale?
Sightsale is a guide to the world’s great sights and how to visit them best. Each sight page covers the official tickets and what they cost, which tickets skip which line, how far ahead to book, guided tours, honest deals, local tips, scams to watch for and how to get there. Country pages list each country’s sights, and guides cover what applies everywhere.
Do you sell tickets?
No. We point you to the official ticket site first, and list resellers and tour companies only where they add something, saying what you get for the extra money. We can never guarantee a seller, tour or deal, so always check the details on the seller’s own page before you pay.
How up to date is the information?
Every page shows the date it was last checked, and every price has the month it refers to. Prices, opening hours and booking rules change often, so check the official site before you book. If something is out of date, tell us through the contact page.
How do I skip the lines at famous sights?
Book a timed ticket on the official site before you go: at most big sights that gets you past the ticket line, though rarely past security. Go at opening time or late in the day, and check each sight page for the quieter entrance and how far ahead tickets sell out.
